Even if we do say so ourselves
Back to Black
A true melting pot of an electro dance party, falling on the third Friday of every month, Film Noir is remarkable for entertaining a rainbow's range of fun-loving punters - the spectrum stretching from city workers at the beginning of their weekend wind-down to the most out-there avant-garde drag artistes - minus the seriousness, snobbery and shade that can lower the tone at ostensibly more colourful club nights.
Every month there is a live performance and this Friday the Film Noir family takes to the stage with their latest runaway train of an in-house musical, led by house mother, resident DJ, and tireless campaigner for the recognition of Noir Chic in the wake of a Nu Rave nuclear-neon fallout, Helen Noir. She and her blacklisted brood of alternative performance artists, which by complete coincidence includes your shy and humble author, will present offbeat kooky cabaret at 11pm.
Complimenting the considerable DJ-ing talent of Ms Noir, guest DJ Severino will be spinning some of the best sounds around. Expect a refreshing fusion of quality and chaos.
