Will Jay-Z curse the Wireless Festival?
Ticket sales for this year's mud'n'music shindig were made available yesterday and so far, they have been down on previous years according to The Sun, with many accusatory fingers being pointed at the hip-hop star.
The event's organiser, Michael Eavis, has been quick to defend Jay-Z, claiming that the disappointing ticket sales are due to last year's poor weather/ them going on sale on a Sunday/ not many acts being announced/ anything BUT Jay-Z head-lining. But with him now announced as the big name opening Wireless at Hyde Park on Thursday 3rd July, it will be interesting to see how tickets sell for this event from Friday.
Other acts billed for the Thursday include super-producer Mark Ronson, Roisin Murphy, Hot Chip and Hercules & Love Affair reports eFestivals.co.uk. Will the Jay-Z curse strike again?
