Sacre bleu!
Thank goodness for the Internet. Without it, we'd never know what was going on in the world. Indeed, we would have had to venture outdoors (ah, the joys of working from home) to discover what horror France hath wrought on London and the Home Counties today...
We didn't notice when we poked our heads out the window to check (we're a little congested) but it seems that a horrible smell has actually wafted across the Channel and is wrinkling the delicate noses of many a Londoner. Apparently, the stench is due to pollution and nothing more comical, but we have reason to wonder if this is all a cover-up. Having once co-habited with a Frenchman with a penchant for unpasteurised Camembert which caused a serious household schism (we made him put the cheese outside), we are all too familiar with the nature of French dairy product air pollution, and it ain't pretty.
