Londoners win "most e-literate" crown
Okay, so maybe not. But it is something to mention in passing when speaking to non-Londoners in a casual "do you know" kinda way. It could even be the stuff of pub quizzes, so take note.
The survey, reported on by BCS, was conducted by Enhance Media and quizzed 12,000 people on how they navigate around cyberspace, with Londoners scoring an average of 72.9 out of a possible 100. Other places that performed well included Cambridge and Canterbury, while in sad contrast inhabitants of Twickenham, Bournemouth and Torquay should hang their heads in shame, with the latter place averaging a measly 49.4.
The poll threw up other stats (IT workers did well - shock!), but for those of you that love to show off, whether you've a reason to or not, this little news nugget is right up your street. Literally.
