London "ruins" supermodel's looks
Visitors say that they get 'black bogies' when they spend time in our city, but that's nothing compared to the horror that new supermodel Agyness Deyn is suffering, poor love. The leggy blonde has not only emerged as a rival to Kate Moss in the fashion stakes, but also in the partying ones, and it's ruining her looks. Apparently.
Bless Agyness, she's been famous for all of five minutes and now she's already past it. Glitterditch always knew that the fashion industry was fickle and youth-obsessed, but how can your looks have faded by the time you're 25 and why is London to blame?
Talking to the Daily Mail, a friend of Deyn's explained. “Agyness just needs time away from the London party scene," reveals the mouthy chum. "She knows that the heavy boozing sessions and late nights are not the perfect combination for any model who is serious about their career. She hasn't decided to go away because her looks are fading, it's just because she'd like to replenish herself and just re-charge her batteries."
Glitterditch's points to consider:
- Why should London shoulder the blame for any perceived dark circles and lacklustre skin tone? Naughty behaviour is not the hallmark of our capital, and with the money, influence and entourages of many modern celebrities they can party it up in any city, town or village in the country. Likewise, we're sure that some stars living in London manage the Herculean task of avoiding all-night parties.
- Deyn models for Burberry, a fashion label traditionally English and very London-oriented in its style and image. Isn't fleeing the city and making accusations against life here anti-Burberry?
- If living in London is ravishing the appearance of a pampered, air-brushed 25-year-old supermodel, how are the rest of us supposed to cope?
