It's Gloves Off

Ah, Gumtree: what would we do without it. Is there a better place to swap your house for a caravan or arrange a highly suspect visa? Any platfrom that enables the free love that is free tellies and sofas and eh... rubble and pallets is good stuff in our book. And Gumtree wonders never cease. Make way Glitterditchers, for Chess-Boxing!

Apparently it's all the rage in Berlin. Kudos to whoever came up with the idea. It's Monty Python genius!

And it's not just funny, we're pretty sure it's a solid sport. And while spending half the night beating your opponent on the checkered board, and the other half pulping him in the ring... or getting pulped doesn't sound like the perfect night out, we think we'd quite like to watch. Not the hitting, mind. We'll have our hands over our eyes for that part. We don't like getting splashed with blood and spittle.

But you, you should get those glittery gloves on! And then off! And back on again! It's all happening at Islington Boxing Club in Archway. We'll be cheering you on, check mates.
