Coffee talk

Feeding your socially acceptable addiction

starbuckscup.jpg If, like us, you have a small caffeine dependency and are, therefore, amongst the millions of Londoners who have led to our fair city being home of the most Starbucks per square foot, you'll be just as excited as we are to hear the news of the coffee giant's latest gambit...

They're going to start serving new coffee that is vaguely palatable!

Also, it is 'environmentally sustainable'. What a nice idea! Maybe it will make up for all those millions of non-biodegradable plastic cups and lids in which you serve milkshakes and which have undoubtedly been responsible for the untimely demise of several cute baby animals.

Hm. Anyway, good effort, Howard Schulz. We do appreciate the ubiquity of your coffeehouses when we need a fix at any cost. But given the choice, we'll stick to getting our buzz at London's best indie coffee spots, like Monmouth Coffee and Flat White and that sweet man with a cart at the Bethnal Green tube stop...
