Directionless rants

Don't frak with nerds

toaster.jpg We are incensed, dearest readers, and you should be too. Like it, love it, or watch it purely because you have a painful longing for the hot butch fighter pilot who stars in it, Battlestar Galactica is a must-see for anyone who has a telly. Or the internet.

And yet. Yet. Some old arty type at the Guardian has decided that he doesn't like the series. Why? Well, because it's all spaceships and not enough toilet-based-drama. Sam Wollaston, who does not enjoy sci-fi, decided to leap into the middle of a sci-fi epic with no knowledge of the back story, and was surprised to find that it didn't entertain him. We're shocked beyond all comprehension, and also looking forward to the nerd-backlash that is almost certain to follow.

No, this entry has nothing to do with London, bar perhaps the tenuous link that some dude is coming to perform the music here at some point for those who wish to touch themselves in an auditorium whilst thinking about Kara Thrace. For those who aren't that bothered about the music, but are that bothered about the superior-officer-punching feminist-icon of a sex goddess, we suggest you buy your partner one of these costumes. The nights between episodes will just fly by.
