If you do one thing tonight.
Daft but strangely appealing
Artificial life: what do these words suggest to the plugged-in and music literate Londoner? Those 30 Seconds to Mars Jared Leto people? The soundtrack to the Doctor Who television series? Glitter really hopes not. Think film.
If Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter are names you have a brushing acquaintance with, at Artificial Life + film you should really be screaming ROBOTS ROBOTS !! Electroma !!
Oh yes, Daft Punk's crazy wonderful Electroma is showing late nights at the ICA, and a better alternative to dancing to Daft Punk would be impossible to find. Two robots, wandering through the Californian desert in a quest to become human, you say? Sci Fi art house? And darn good?
To get an idea of what to expect, and get yourself in DP mood, have a gander at this clip. Be warned: there's no beatsy Daft Punk music. It's ambient sound and slow moving visuals. But well worth a look. We're booking our popcorn NOW.
There are dafter things you could get up to...
