Amy Winehouse's 'secret'

Her every move is followed by a watching pack of paparazzi as pop wreck Amy Winehouse goes about her (often eccentric) business. She goes out - we know about it. She stays in - we know about it. We know more about her than we do our nearest and dearest. Hell, we probably know more about her than she does herself (don't mess with drugs kids), and we definitely see more of her than her beloved Blake Incarcerated.

So a rue smile crept over Glitterditch's face this afternoon upon reading the following headline on Now Magazine.co.uk: 'Amy Winehouse makes secret visit to rehab centre'.

'Secret'? How is anything in the world of the Wino secret? The very fact that a website reports on such a visit, means that not only is not secret, it's common knowledge. The article goes on to talk about the clinic she visited and what she got up to on Tuesday night. Glitterditch can barely remember what we did on Tuesday night, but the antics of a skanky singer? Well, that's important, obviously.

The Wino is far from alone in receiving such around-the-clock media coverage, as Hollywood brats such as Lindsay Lohan and the terminally pointless Paris Hilton also enjoy such status in the States. So, when we know everything about them and realise that we know everything about them, how funny is the use of the word 'secret'?

Okay, so it's no side-splitter, but you get what we mean.
