A thought for the afternoon.

After T5's luggage crisis, what is the worst thing to lose?

t5 (2).jpgThe luggage debacle at Heathrow's new terminal 5 has been crap, agreed? For all those that have seen their belongings disappear into a messy heap, perhaps never to be found again, Glitterditch truly sympathises. The luggage mountains on the news have been a tragic sight that we can all relate to. Losing stuff sucks, especially when it's not your fault, but for those currently mourning the absence of their belongings, spare a thought for DJ Calvin Harris who was caught up in the mess.

What did Calvin lose? Just the only recording of his new album. Whoops.

"The nice people/robots at Heathrow's Terminal 5 lost all our bags, including my hard drive, with all my f****** songs on," whinged the rightfully pissed off star to the Sun. "I have been walking in circles for a couple of days, and I will continue to do so until I meet the man/robot responsible and set him/it on fire. I shall overcome! Once he's on fire."

Calvin's solution of arson might sound a little dubious, but he isn't the only famous name caught up in the crisis. Leeds band The Pigeon Detectives lost their baggage and musical equipment, while TV presenter Fearne Cotton's expensive Betsey Johnson bag was returned to her damaged according to the Daily Mail. Fame doesn't guarantee that these inconveniences are any more frustrating or upsetting than those of everyone else, but for Calvin it could mean a major hiccup in his musical career.

Everyone loses stuff, it's inevitable, but certain losses can haunt you for years to come. This high-profile cock-up has seen Glitterditch assume a pragmatic perspective as we ask: When life is littered with things that have come and gone, what is the worst thing to lose? A precious object or a person? A time and place or something from within? Drop us a line below and tell us your most treasured loss. Anger, remorse, guilt, heartache optional.
