You make me feel like dancin'
Strike A Pose
Punk is causing a bit of a stir. Be it intimate gigs with those lovely Supergrass boys, or drunken after parties, Punk is clearly the liveliest club in London right now. Apparently Jodie Harsh is having her (his?) birthday party at Mo*vida this evening but we don't care. It's Vogue Week at Punk and we wanna 'strike a pose'.
Smash and Grab is the new weekly night at Punk and there's Vogueing lessons from Johnny Woo from 9.30. We've never had Vogueing lessons but we're sure we'll be excellent. We always knew that prancing around in front of our mirror singing Madonna songs into a hairbrush was a valuable life skill.
There will be dressing up boxes, and lots of silly games for you to play. Dancing and stupidity are surely the best ways to spend a Thursday.
Oh,and that's not the best bit. We hear a rumour of a certain Mark Ronson popping in to do a dj set. Glitterbitch is quite taken with Mr. Ronson, so you'll find her sipping a cocktail near the dj booth.
Until then, we're off to perfect our voguing skills. "Marlon Brando, Jimmy Dean. On the cover of a magazine. They had style, they had grace..."
Sorry, we'll stop now.
Get yourself down to Smash and Grab tonight from 8. Punk is on Soho street just off the Tottenham Court Road of Oxford Street. Just go.
