Book Today.

Geeky is Cool. No, Really.

We don't want you to think we've gone mad, and we know that recommending a book club isn't very 'Glitterditchy'. But Book Slam isn't your average book club. It's got dancing and cocktails too. Which is just the kind of event we know you'll be interested in.

Yes, it's still a book club, but it's a cool book club. They do still use lines like 'clubbing for grown-ups' on their website which scares us a little. But then, it is held in Notting Hill so what did we expect?

If that hasn't scared you, and you can get excited by their past guests (Zadie Smith, Nick Hornby and er... Kate Nash) then you might just want to put down that battered copy of the Da Vinci Code and give it a go. You get cocktails (or perhaps a bottle of red would be more suitable?) and a night out that'll a bit more interesting than a trip down your local pub. Maybe.

Or, you can go and laugh at the Notting Hill set for being far too mature for their own good.

Book Slam is being held at 12 Acklam Road on March 27th and is hosted by Patrick Neate. Check out his website, it's actually really good. These nights sell out quickly so hurry up and er... book.
