Freudian Sip

Now, to give the place a little credit, we do like that it's a cool sneaky little dj bar with a 'gallery' thing going on. Fine. But this isn't enough. We were really happy when we found it. It's quite tucked away, despite being smack in the middle of dreaded Theatreland. Glitterbitch is a fan of underground bars. It's exciting not knowing what you're going to find. A bit like Alice in Wonderland but with gin.

But unfortunately, the cocktails are terrible. There are hundreds of the things. Frankly, we think they bought a huge blackboard and made them all up so there wasn't any space left on the menu. We don't think half of these have ever even been tried by the staff.

Every cocktail we ordered was undrinkable. We're made of pretty strong stuff but we wouldn't even dare knock these back for fear of overdosing on sugar.

Yes it's a great venue. We think there should be more art in bars. But what's the point in a great bar if we don't want to drink in there?

Until they sort out that cocktail menu, we'll continue to walk past and give it the (Freudian) slip.
