Musical musings

Battle of the Bands

Oh no! What will we do? Two excellent music acts performing on the same night! On opposite sides of town! With no time inbetween to get to both gigs! Help us decide which one to go to.

Remember we interviewed She Makes War? Well the lovely Ms Laura Kidd will be playing at 8pm in the Grosvenor in erm... very glam Stockwell.

We know she occasionally wears sequins on her face, and when I asked her why we should choose to go and see her she said this:

"Expect fiery songs played on grungey electric guitar, war paint, mascara and searing pissed off lyrics."

Blimey. We like all of those things.

But in erm... very glam Camden Town at The Bullet Bar, THiS iS MY PARTY TRiCK are playing and we want to see them too! They're playing at 9pm and we know there's no way we can get there in time with the annoying Northern line stopping us in our tracks.

This is what the boys in the band are saying:

"Why not come along and sing some songs, drink some beer, and shake some booty (preferably your own). This one is going to be big...apparently."

So you see our dilemma. We can't possibly decide so it's over to you. Listen to them here. And also here. Then decide for us in the comments section. Choose whichever one you'll think will be the most fun (or the least fun if Glitterbitch has done something to annoy you) and we'll tell you about it tomorrow.

No doubt about it - go see THiS iS MY PARTY TRiCK. You'll be pissed off if you don't.
