Turning Back Time
The famous Flying Duck Enterprises in Greenwich closed it's doors for the last time yesterday. Everyone seems to be very sad about this. It was apparently a mark of history, or something.
We've lived down the road from the poky little retro shop in Greenwich for five years. We've never ever bought anything from there. It all just seemed like pointless tat. We don't want plastic flamingos in our kitchen. Even their closing down sale only gave a paltry 20% discount.
So, as it's no more, here are a few other vintage and retro shops that are really worth peeking into. Who knows, you might even buy something.
Wow Retro: It's so much fun in here. You'll spend hours trawling through the rails and rails of dresses. And shock! There will actually be pretty things in here. So you won't come out looking like your Gran's curtains.
Twinkled: Now in the posh Kingly Court, instead of Greenwich market. But still worth a trip. If only for the handbags and accessories alone. Great staff who know their stuff to. They'll really go out of their way for you.
Bang Bang: Not the nicest clothes in here but you will find gorgeous vintage Jimmy Choos to teeter home in. They buy their wares from the public. This is where the rich and famous get rid of their old stuff.
Blondie: So much better than Absolute Vintage. Everything is organised by colour which is handy, but can make your eyes go a bit funny. Great sunglasses too.
See, turns out you don't need Flying Duck at all.
