If you do one thing tonight.

The Great Floating Circus: Musique Cirque

Because we know you're already clock watching and wishing you could go out to play...

We like fun things that are a little bit off the beaten track. You couldn't get more off the beaten track than Battersea Barge. It takes quite a long time to walk there in heels, and it's in the middle of nowhere.

So why on earth is it worth going there tonight?

We like the circus. As long as little animals aren't hurt, we're happy with people doing all that acrobatic stuff and freaky weird things. Sometimes we find clowns a bit creepy but well get over it. And at Musique Cirque we'll be helping out the charity Unicef so there's even more reason to go.

Battersea Barge is gorgeous. Don't worry,it's moored so you won't get sick. There's two bars so you don't have to wait for ages to get serves and frankly it's pretty. It's decked out well with lots of lights and it's pretty small so you don't get squashed by lots of people.

Tonight we're told that there will be music and circus acts. Two things that are pretty good in our book. It's only £6, though we're sure they won't mind if you throw a bit more in for charidee.

One word of warning. They might have a deck, but it's still freezing outside. Take a jacket. And some pretty looking gloves to make sure you don't get too shivery. Frostbite it not a good look.

Battersea Barge is at 9 Elms Lane. Nearest tube is Vauxhall. Musique Cirque is from 6.30 to 11.30 and we think you should get there pretty early so you don't get turned away and end up looking like a clown with a sad face.
