Northern Lights 3D

The Dana Centre is a pretty wonderful place. It does things that are so unexpected, we have to tell you about events a month in advance because we know they'll be fully booked very soon.

Their Northern Lights Spectacular is going to be one of those events. Glitterbitch was in Norway recently and was gutted to have missed the real thing so we're off to watch it on a big telly wearing stupid glasses instead.

Now, despite the fact the Glitterbitch doesn't really understand what the Northern Lights are, we do know that they're pretty amazing. We've tried to understand the science stuff. We know it's about the sun then we get confused. So instead, well just look at them and be bewildered.

The Dana Centre shows them for the first time in 3D. This is going to be really fantastic. Like seeing them without actually being there. Yes, we know it would be great to be there instead, but at least this way you can get the tube home afterwards.

There's lots of things going on for the event. You can have a chat with the creator of the film (maybe he can explain to Glitterbitch exactly how they work). There's a little bit of poetry too. There will even be some scientists to tell us secrets about the strange phenomenon too. But we might get confused by them.

This is a great opportunity to see something spectacular in London. We might not understand it, but we don't think that matters.

The Dana Centre is at 165 Queen's Gate, South Kensington. The Northern Lights Spectacular on March 20th at 7.30. Is free, but you're really going to have to book in advance. Thanks to CT for telling us about the event.

It's something to do with massive bolts of energy from the sun! Which would kill us all in an instant if it wasn't for the earth's electromagnetic protection. Freaky!

The Dana Centre is indeed fab. Anyone reading this who has never been before - just book yourself on to one of their evenings right now. They're free, there are no screaming kids, and, which is more, there's a bar!
