Cocktail Hour
London's Three Best Happy Hours
Now, we know that binge drinking isn't the best idea in the world. We do silly things like dance on tables and fall over. It also makes us sleepy and grumpy the next day. Right now, we're listening to the news and the man on ITV is talking very gravely about cheap booze in Tescos.
We're not suggesting that you go to the shop and buy cans of cider for 60p. Seriously. That's just tacky. But we will tell you we're you can find the cheapest cocktails and the best happy hours. Because that's acceptable, isn't it?
Bar Rumba: We were here not too long ago drinking something pink. Or it may have been green. All cocktail are 2 for 1 between 9 and 10. This means lots more cocktails and lots more silliness. In a pretty great bar.
The Gardening Club: It can turn into a bit of a meat market late in the evening but this bar has a great happy hour. Lots of cocktails are half price and you can get bargain champagne too. Hurrah! Bubbles!
Samuel Smith's: If you're out with those pesky people who just won't switch from beer, then a Sam Smith's pub is like a permanent happy hour. You can drink pretty good red wine instead. You'll get change from a fiver for two drinks. Really. We didn't make it up. There are pubs dotted all over London but The Angel near Centrepoint is our favourite.
And the one to avoid:
On Anon: Apparently they have 'eight distinct' areas in here. Which is not really true and it mostly looks the same. They do have cheap cocktails most night but they aren't good. We had the worst mojito ever here. And we'll never trust a bar that can't make a mojito.

Just to concur, Gardening Club is a bit of meat market. Stay away after 10 unless you're a carnivore.
