Glittery A-Z

Hyde Park

London's best bits are often the ones that have been getting it right for years. The places that feel new and exciting every time you go. So to celebrate these we bring you the Glittery A-Z. Today we bring you 'H'.

As it gets a (teeny) little bit warmer, we want to go for brisk walk in the park. Preferably with a cute puppy and hot chocolate. There are gorgeous parks all over the place, but it's rare one has it all. This is why we love Hyde Park so much. Everything you need is just right here.

We love that it gets busy. It gets busy because everyone, at some point gets annoyed with the city. Annoyed with their day. They want to find their own little oasis and quite often, that oasis just happens to be a bench under a tree. There's something calming about that.

There's also a lot to be said for flying a kite. Or falling alseep on a picnic blanket with a handsome man. Or eating ice cream and giggling with a bunch of girls. Or just going for a walk in your lunch break. Maybe popping into the Serpentine gallery.

We know Glitterditch is a lot about where to go out and get drunk and where to party, but sometimes even we need a little break from that. Besides, Hard Rock Cafe seem to be doing a pretty good job at making this park rock every summer so it's never going to be that quiet.

Parks make people happy. They make London less cold and scary. Hyde park is our favourite and we like the notion that one day we'll take up rollerskating. We won't, but with Hyde Park on our doorstep, it's nice to know that we could.

Hyde Park is pretty big so you should find it easily if you go to Hyde Park corner or Marble Arch. You can go between 5am and midnight.
