Pigeons, Monkeys and a rascal called Miles.

Introducing Glittersnitch

Our new contributor, Glittersnitch, will be posting from London's music and fashion party scene. She's warming up for London Fashion Week, but here's where she was last week.

Glittersnitch's tireless campaign to unearth the secrets of London’s underbelly found us sniffing out pigeons, monkeys and rascals at the Shockwaves NME awards at Astoria last Thursday. Arctic Monkey frontman Alex Turner delighted fans with a surprise appearance, joining the Rascals on stage in a performance of ‘Is it too Late’ and eliciting huge screams from the audience with the loudest coming from those donning AAA passes.

Kelly Osbourne, Alexa Chung and that bloke with the weird hair from T4 that isn’t Steve Jones downed drinks in the VIP area before shunning headliners The Pigeon Detectives and heading to Soho celeb hotspot Punk.

Official after party was at Bungalow 8 but after cheeky little Rascal Miles Kane was found getting friendly with a lady at Punk they decided to bed down in Soho and make a night of it. And what a night it must have been as turning on T4 on Saturday morning (presumably recorded on a Friday) Glittersnitch couldn’t fail to spot Alexa Chung in exactly the same outfit she had on the previous night. Bucking the mulitple outfit/one event trend this is a lady so cool she's positively Arctic. Either that or she's just a grubby monkey......
