Glitterditch Approves
Our Secret Wine Drinking Spot
We almost don't want to share this with you it's so lovely. But that would be mean. So, if you promise not to blame us when you've got a stonking hangover the next day, we're suggesting you take a trip to Gordon's Wine Bar.
We stumbled upon Gordon's by accident. We were exploring little alleyways to see where they went! And hooray! This was the best discovery ever. It's the oldest wine bar in London and it's, well gorgeous.
Now, in summer you can sit outside next to the park and just waste away the evening. This has to be the best past-time in London. But it's winter so you should hide inside in the catacombs snuggling up to someone cute.
To be clear, they only serve wine in Gordon's. Which you can even get in half bottles. How handy. But the chances are you'll end up drinking two anyway and just wished you'd bought a bottle. They do food too. But we only get round to eating the olives.
It's beautiful in here. It can get too warm if it's crowded, but once you've got yourself a table, you won't want to leave. Even if you have meetings the next day, articles to write or anything the next day. Cancel it all.
Trust us. You will have headaches. Lots and lots of headaches. But it's not our fault. We warned you.
Gordon's Wine Bar is on Villiers street inbetween Charing Cross and Embankment stations. If you see a little alleyway that looks like it doesn't go anywhere then you're in the right place.
