Glitterditch Approves
Our Secret Lunch Spot
As we've mentioned briefly, Glitterbitch isn't usually a fan of Covent Garden. Los Locos is here and frankly that should be explanation enough. Until you find Canela. So we thought we'd tell you what you're missing.
Ever since we found Canela Cafe we've been having a bit of a secret love affair with it. Everything about it is perfect. Not least the really really hot waiters.
Oh, and the food. That's right. Well that's pretty yummy too. It's all Portuguese/Brazilian and it tastes real. Seriously. All homecooked and proper portions too. Even their quiche will fill you right up. But Glitterbitch is a big fan of their specials so suggests you keep an eye on those. It's all fresh warming goodness. You won't even notice how cold it is outside.
So go and see for yourself. Drink fresh lemonade and watch Covent Garden-ites as they spend all of their money on the same cool stuff as everyone else. Make sure you take a long lunch though. By the time you're done eating all the cake and flirting with the waiters, you'll be late for work.
Canela is tucked away on Earlham Street at the end nearest Seven Dials. It's so small you might miss it and then we'll sneak in and nab the last table. Don't go to the one on Newburgh Street in Carnaby. Trust us. Just don't do it.
