The Pub Crawl

Hoxton Hi-jinks

As we said earlier, Hoxton is wonderful. But we don't think it's enough just to say we had fun and leave it at that. We were taken on a magical mystery tour of fun and cocktails. There's so much stuff going on that it would be very rude for us to keep them to ourselves.

Here's a version of our own little pub crawl...

The Dragon: It's strange in here. Obviously very popular with a young city crowd. The music seems out of place and you can't hear what anyone is saying. But that said, it does have a great atmosphere. It's the perfect place to meet at the start of your Hoxton crawl, but we wouldn't think about staying there for more than one drink.

We then skipped down too...

Home:We've been drinking in stinky pubs far too often recently. Home is a gorgeous cocktail bar with yummy Bellinis. This is a perfectly classy place with really friendly bar staff.

Hurrying in the rain to...

Cantaloupe: We dont like the name. But we do like the bar. It's huuuuuuuge. You can find a seat and still fill like it's really buzzy in here. We getting very drunk by now ever though the cocktails aren't that yummy and taste a bit cheap. Even though they really aren't.

Stumbling to...

The Bricklayers Arms: Hmmmm..... The problem with pub crawls is hat you often gone to the next pub along, whether it's any good or not. This is what we thought of the Bricklayers. But we also had no idea it was nearing midnight.

Falling into...

Zigfrid: This is more like it. Lots of cocktails. And we actually made it to Hoxton Square. It's busy busy busy. But that's a good thing. After all, if you're going to trawl around the East End, you don't want to do it quietly do you? Handy place to get a legal cab from too.

So Glitterbitch likes Hoxton. It's the perfect size for crawling and drinking and then crawling some more. You won't look too pretty by the end of it, but you'll be too drunk to care. Which afer a long week is the best way to be.
